Best place for dinner in Kalá Nera
We came to stay at Kalá Nera beginning of September and spent 3 nights there. On our second night we found tavern 1900 and we enjoyed it so much we came back the last night as well. Great wine, amazing tziki and fresh fish and good complimentary bread The couple that runs the place are super nice and invited us to drinks- even gave us a vase we wanted that they use to serve wine

New taverna
On our first visit to Kala Nera, we looked for Paris taverna and discovered it had closed and the space taken by the new 1900. Like many places along the front, the kitchen and indoor area are on one side of the road, with the main terrace /restaurant on the beach side, right by the sea. 1900 was very busy, the waiters friendly and "freebies" always offered. More importantly, the food was excellent. I had moussaka twice (apparently made by "mama"), which was excellent. It was my favourite taverna in Kala Nera and have been trying to get it on TA, since we got back on July 5th! Highly recommended.
