What a meal!

A small restaurant, with excellent family cuisine! The local Cretan food you must have when you are in the area! Loved the atmosphere, the music and the gentle persona of the owner!

Super

Unbelievable how good you can eat there ! Maybe not easy to find but more than worth to search it. Local kitchen with fresh food. Much better than the touristy restaurants in the center. So cheap you can hardly believe it. Go there !!!

Just love this place

If your wanting a high ens restaurant then avoid, however if your wanting good local food in a traditional environment then look no further.

Family run and excellent

This small plain looking restaurant appears to be run by a husband & wife team, he taking orders and she preparing food. Everything was delicious and the cost was very low for what we got. There is not a lot of English spoken, but when we wanted to know more about the fresh fish, he just brought some out (uncooked) so we could see size. That plate was very fine.

Eat like a local

This place was recommended by our host and it is simple, cozy and the food is amazing!! It is the opposite of touristy, a hidden gem for locals :)

Little surprise

Before visiting the castle we decided to drink something ’cause it was a really hot day. We stopped in this tavern just to hava beer but we realized that the costumers were locals and the food looked interesting, so we decided to eat here. The experience was really good, tasty food, local Cretan beer and very good prices. They don’t have air conditioned but we felt ok.

Charming yesteryear feeling

What a wonderful little restaurant! Here you can experience what the greek slow living and great food is all about. I recommend you to order many mezes (small portions) and enjoy.
