Adonis Hotel

I have just returned from ten days at the Hotel Adonis in the beautiful village of Apollonas on Naxos. What a joy it was to see Stamatis and his family again. The children have grown like weeds. He has been busy in the two years since I have been there. The air conditioned rooms have been remodeled in shades of blue, are very pretty and come with a mini frig. The beautiful bathrooms have had a total makeover, are decorated in shades of gray and blue and have mini bottles of shampoo, lotion, and conditioner. The flower gardens are still lovely and the organic vegetable gardens just as tasty as before. We booked the rooms with breakfast and dinner included, but meals may be ordered separately. Breakfast includes eggs, crepes, yogurt, toast, pastries, cereal, coffee and teas. Dinner was a varied selection of entrees and starters. Please be sure to have the Greek yogurt and feta cheese. Both are wonderful. And, do not miss the moussaka which is the best in all of the EU. Between the staff who are always willing to help with any request and Stamatis who is the host extraordinaire, you cannot be in better hands when you stay at the Hotel Adonis. It is a short walk to the beach, restaurants, jewelry store, souvenir store and mini market. Stamatis can help you with a car rental if needed. The bus to Naxos town comes twice a day if you are in need of the hustle and bustle of city life. If not, the local smaller villages are very picturesque and all have very tasty restaurants including the tiny village Lionas. All within two hours driving distance. Apollonas makes a great home base for your Naxos adventure and your Hotel Adonis stay will ensure you will want to return for another holiday. …

We satyed in Apollon at Hotel Adonis for 10 nights. Apollon, where this hotel is located, is a very beautiful, cute and quiet village on the North-East coast of Naxos. Adonis is a traditional white-blue hotel, built in Cycladic style and is managed by a helpful host, Stamatis. He is always there to tell you about the island and give the best ideas of what and when to visit! Our room which was on the 2nd floor was a renewed one, had a sea view, and was cleaned every day! The hospitality is amazing, everyone from the staff was smiley, kind and helpful. The hotel offers transfer from/to the airport or port at great price and car hire is also available, which is highly recommended if you wish to discover the island! The location of the village has to be taken into consideration, which in our opinion, contrary to other reviews is a great advantage! Given the fact that it is a bit far from the busy Chora, you will always have a calm and quiet place to sleep, have rest. Furthermore, getting to your destinations all around the island will always take you through picturesqe roads with breathtaking views and you will realise that driving on there serpentines is already an adventure! The hotel also offers breakfast that includes a range of local, home-made products and freshly made crepes and eggs are also served. Basically the breakfast starts at 8:00 am but if you have a easy start (for example because you don't want to miss the daily sailing tours which leave at 8:30 from Naxos town) Stamatis will wake up with you early and make sure you don't leave the hotel hungry! All in all we do recommend to choose Adonis Hotel and Apollon for your stay in Naxos, it was amazing in all aspects and there was nothing that we could highlight as a negative point. A friend and I recently had the pleasure to stay at Adonis hotel in Apollonas for 6 nights and absolutely loved it. The owner, Stamatis, gave us the warmest of welcomes and made sure we had everything we need during our stay. We could order from a choice of breakfast options and enjoyed many homemade goods. Stematis also gave us many tips of places to see on the island. The hotel itself is very close to the beach, tavernas, restaurants and mini supermarket. The rooms are pristine, with air conditioning and a mini fridge and get serviced every day. If you’re coming to Naxos and the tranquil village of Apollonas in particular, I highly recommend Adonis hotel.

I stayed 2 nights at the Adonis Hotel, 13 and 14 September 2019. It was excellent! The owner Stamatis was charming and very welcoming. I had room 204 which was very pleasant, with sea views. The buffet breakfast was excellent. I ate mine outside on the terrace. All in all it was a memorable stay and I do hope to return in the future. Highly recommended! The hotel is in a very good location on the main street of Apollonas, just a short walk to the seafront.

Adonis is run by an amazing hotelier who is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel is located in a beautiful spot on Naxos, a quiet fishing village called Apollonas. The hotel rooms are very modern, having been upgraded recently and the building itself is a classical Greek structure. Almost all of the food that is served is organic and grown by the hotel. Our room had a beautiful balcony overlooking the water and the nights were very quiet and tranquil with the lights of the harbour reflecting off the water. We can’t say enough good things about this hotel and its staff and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a Greek Island holiday experience.
