No ice with my Ouzo!
This is a must do trip if you get the opportunity. We toured the museum and found out some interesting information about the family. We were then shown around the factory and discovered how the Ouzo was made, Our host was very knowledgeable and told us about the different strengths of Ouzo. Then came the opportunity to taste some of the Ouzo, with a little water. We came away with a couple of bottles. A lovely drink to have with a nice meze.

Intersting tour
I was very interested to finf out how OUZO is made, We visited the museum at Barbayiannis Distillery and then had some time talking to one of the family members (6th generation) who explained how it all works.
Highly recommended if you are infact interested in ouzo or distilling

Factory tour
We had a personalised tour of the factory. It was very informative. I will never drink any other brand of ouzo again after seeing how this is made. They also have free tasting at the end of the tour.

Very nice tour where you can also taste the real Ouzo.
Very nice people. We got a very good presentation in the museum and a very good tour in the factory. It is owned by a family. Some of them work inside the factory. We got a very good explanation about how the Ouzo is made besides the secret plants they add to get their taste. We learned not to use ice in the Ouzo, only cold water. Mostly 50% Ouzo and add 50% cold water to it. Not the other way round.

A family owned museum that you can see for free!
When six generations follow the same passion to produce ouzo, they must be doing something right! A nice private tour of all the facilities was given to us and at the end we had the chance to try some ouzo too!
