CHC Imperial Palace

We spent a week in this hotel. The plan was to relax and go to the beach. Mission accomplished! Staff was friendly, helpful and always available to give tips. The hotel is beautiful, clean, calm and close to the beach (5 min walk). The rooms are comfortable and cleaned everyday. Food was quite diversified but sometimes a bit overcooked for my taste. The only negative aspect I can find about the hotel is its location - beside a busy road. Depending on your room, you may hear cars going by. The nearest city is 20-30 minutes away by bus (Rethymno). Nevertheless the staff always made itself available to tell us everything we had to know in order to travel /visit the city/ shop for souvenirs/ rent a car/ eat local specialties. Last note but not least: The pool bar where we spent most of our evening was really enjoyable and so were the cocktails! Special thanks to Aspasia the evening bartender who has really been the best for us. Her laugh accompanied all our nights, so has her raki. and I'm proud I've been able to hear her calling me "my friend". Thanks for everything! …

Me and my husband have just spent a week here on our honeymoon. The hotel is an amazing relaxed small family run hotel. It is impossible to find even a slightly minor negative comment as all the staff make your stay that extra special. The hotel is exceptionally clean and modern. The choice of food is outstanding. The hotel is small but large pool, bar and restaurant area so it never seems over crowded and you never have to wait for anything. Rula in the restaurant is absolutely outstanding, she always made sure we had everything we needed and even came with us to the buffet to explain what the Greek dishes were and recommend things. All staff were very polite and friendly and would go above and beyond for you. I would highly recommend this hotel and will certainly stay here again. We’ve just returned from CHC Imperial Palace and couldn’t wait to get on here to share our positive experience. We booked this last minute as other travel plans changed due to Covid, meaning we only had 5 nights here but they were fantastic. The staff at the hotel ar so friendly, personable and welcoming. The size of this hotel is really its selling point at you get a really personal service. Even during our short stay we felt like we were familiar faces to all those that work there. We stayed in one of the suites with a jacuzzi bath and large balcony. Everything is brand new and appointed beautifully so it really was wonderful. The food and drink was all lovely and while a little similar each night (we’ve travelled right at the end of the season so completely understandable) it was excellent quality. The hotel is in a more remote location, a 25-minute bus journey to Rethmyno and situated near to some car hire places if you want to go and explore. For us, we just soaked up the beautiful pool scene and enjoyed the hotel surroundings so it was ideal. In summary, don't hesitate to book. It's a wonderful brand new hotel and worth it just to meet the staff who are simply amazing. We'll be back! …

To start my review, I’d like to adress the buffet (spoiler: it’s delicious). I have Crohns disease, which makes trips and holidays quite stressful. Certain foods (when cooked poorly) makes me very ill. From here I want to compliment the chefs of Imperial Palace: the food here has given me zero issues! So to point it out: the food is cooked very well. Also it is very tastey and the menu changes everyday. 10 out of 10 score: well done. The hotel is quite new, opened in 2019. This shows: the rooms are up-to-date and the facilities are as good as new. The pool is big enough for all the guests and is quite cold at first, but it is the perfect cooling down when bathing in the warm Greek sun. The rooms are cleaned every day and this is done very well. A little downside is that the hotel is located between two busy roads. At night, you might hear the loud motorcycles and touringcars drive by. When you do not have a rental car and want to do excursions, the reception can arrange all your excursions. This service took a load of work out of our hands and they made sure we were picked up in the morning an dropped off in the evening at the hotel. Thank you for this service!
