Famous Bamboo, Zakynthos Town

Lovely food. Duck and beef was very nice. Would definitely recommend. The staff were also very helpful. Give it a go.

After a few days of heavy Greek cuisine we were longing for something light. We were craving for some noodle soup and after some searching on tripadvisor “Famous bamboo” seemed to offer the most authentic Chinese restaurant on the Island. So we had a lunch with noodle soup, chicken and dumplings. It tasted so good that we decided to come back for dinner. We loved the traditional spicy dishes and the soups. The owners of the restaurant are very friendly too! If you want Chinese food on Zakynthos, this is the place to be!

Very nice and delicious Chinese food! After a couple of days of heavy Greek dishes, this place is a very good alternative! We loved this place very much. Very nice owners as well!

Visited here on a trip into Zante Town and it was delicious. We had the special which was 3 courses for around €12 or so. Soups were amazing as were the spring rolls, sweet and sour was crispy and tasty. A delicious end to a lovely day. Go visit!

Highly recommended! The best chinese meal in Greece so far. Reasonable price! The chinese food are amazing! It tastes even better than the restaurant we went in Athens. It’s a must in Zakynthos ???????? We finished everything including the gravy.❤️

After two weeks of eating tzatziki, souvlaki, kleftiko, and gyros, we decided to try something a bit less Greek. We stumbled upon Famous Bamboo while strolling along the port street of Z-town and decided to settle here for dinner because the place was full of Chinese people, which is a really good sign. The owner is very attentive, sociable, and provides great recommendations. The first half of their menu is "adapted cuisine", the other one, black and white, is "the real thing". We picked a few things from both and were not disappointed - everything was delicious! Beware of overeating, though, as their dishes are HUGE, and pretty much everything can be shared. We totally forgot about this feature of Chinese restaurants and ordered a bit of everything, ending up with a table full of plates and taking some of the food with us. The only thing that I don’t recommend ordering are the wontons. They are on the "adapted" menu and are stuffed with some kind of cream cheese with crab sticks. The owner himself apologetically admitted that this appetizer was for the local public and European tourists, and was not Chinese at all. Overall, it’s a fantastic place with tasty food, reasonable prices, and great service.

We stumbled across this place last night by accident. As we were in Zante Town we were looking for Greek food but the food here looked amazing as we walked by. We had a look at the menu and it was very cheap and there was lots of choice. We were greeted by a lovely lady who gave us drinks and menus. We had steamed dumplings, sweet and sour soup, egg fried rice, chilli beef and sweet and sour pork. And with 2 drinks was only €28. The portions were massive and tasted fantastic!! We have already decided to go back before we leave. It may not be everyone’s first choice when in Greece but please try it, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you very much for a great evening
