Hotel Sonia is the nicest place in town ! You stay nearly (2 minutes) kos harbour, kos town and lambi beach ! Breakfast is fantastic ! You get everything: but the best for me: OMELETTE & pancakes SONJA Style, yummy yummy ! The rooms and the Hotel is very clean and very nice ! We had a beautiful room with balkony and view to the Harbour/sea ! And last but not least: Mama Sonia is the best ! Thank you Sonia and your son, for all . Your Alexandra & Peter

Possibly the best hotel in Kos Town

After a miserable few days at Captain’s Hotel nearby, I scrambled to find better accommodation in Kos Town and struck gold with Hotel Sonia. I contacted them directly and managed to secure a better rate, which made the deal even sweeter. The hotel is in a great location, just one block back from the harbour road but not too noisy in the evening. It’s a small place with only 12 rooms, but that means you get a much more personal touch which is noticeable compared to previous places I stayed during this Greece trip. The first two nights I had a free upgrade to a deluxe double room, owing to a slight mistake on their part with the dates I’d given them. The deluxe room is fantastic, with a large comfortable bed, ample storage, a big balcony and a luxurious shower/toilet area. I felt very spoiled as a solo traveller! Even moving to a standard double for the 3 remaining days, the bathroom was quite plush and the bed comfortable even though the room itself was much smaller. The air conditioning in both rooms was very quiet and effective. Breakfast was by far the best buffet of my trip so far (9 hotels and counting), fresh hot and cold items, decent coffee and juice and nice Greek yoghurt, unlike the cheap lumpy stuff you get in some hotels. They also were happy to let me keep the room an extra hour on my last day so I could stay out of the heat until it was time to catch my bus. I enjoyed my stay so much I’m going back there tomorrow (currently extending my stay on Kos long story) and can’t wait to return. …

Excellent location and amenities, terrific value

We reserved a balcony room. We had a generous sized room with king bed, en suite bathroom with powerful shower, and a large comfortable balcony overlooking Roman ruins. The rooms are immaculately clean with modern decor. Nice toiletries provided. Air conditioning is whisper-quiet and efficient. A tea and coffee tray was cheerfully provided when we asked. Staff are extremely helpful - arranging laundry that was completed within 3 hours. A taxi booked was prompt and spotless inside. The hotel is perfectly situated to walk to the old town and yet is in a delightful tree lined street of homes and some lovely family restaurants. It’s quiet at night. We had a great stay and weren’t so upset when our return flight was cancelled and we had to stay another night.. During Covid there’s no breakfast but there is a marvelous bakery within a 2 minute walk. Thank you Sonia and your lovely family we hope to be back. …
