Ionios Anemos Hand Made Products

On our recent trip to Greece, we visited and four other islands. This little out of the way art studio had the nicest items that represented the Greek isles. Most of the items are hand made and very reasonably priced. The owner was a very nice gentlemen. Easy to get there if you have a rental car. Just go slow.

Some of the pieces are lovely and some rather basic and bit simple and generally seemed rather expensive

I have only just discovered this shop and it is like alladins cave, full of Beautiful, colourful and unique handmade goods. I really could spend a fortune in there although have been really good so far and only bought a decoupage roof tile. I will be returning at the end of the week with some of my family so can’t guarantee thatbi won’t come out with something else! However the owner does not pressurised you in any way to purchase anything as the sign on the door says ’it’s free to enter and free to leave’.

Chlomos is a lovely village to visit and you can visit this shop for a special memento of your visit. We have a collection of things bought over the years.

Located at the top of Chlomos (if you are up at the Taxiarchon church just follow the signs south—it’s a fairly level walk), this quirky, colourful gift shop is the perfect place to pick up a souvenir. Sotiris and Areti are both artists and the tiny building is overflowing with their wonderful creations, from paintings to pottery and knitwear to nicknacks.

Much of their designs are crafted from driftwood and other beachcombing treasure, but there are also smaller fridge magnets, leather purses, painted tiles, olive wood cutting boards and all manner of seaside-flavoured gifts. There really is something for everyone and all tastes and budgets are catered for. Don’t forget to visit the first floor where the larger items are displayed and which include very imaginative driftwood lights in the form of boats with knitted sails.

And if you don’t see something you like, then why not ask for a special commission? Whether it’s a name plaque for your home or a bespoke birthday present, Sotiris and Areti are bound to come up with something special and unique.
