A very good find!
Just walk a little -around 500 yards- along the bay to reach Karamel, a cosy restaurant held by Armelle, a welcoming french woman (don’t worry, she speaks english and greek, too). Nice music, beautiful place with an outdoor terrace on the shore... and real human relationships! Very very reasonnable prices for an excellent, fresh and original mediterranean food (not just the average and rather expensive "greek food" you find elsewhere on the island). We had a wonderfull time, more than just a meal, and will certainly return.

Nice change from Greek fare
We enjoyed our meal last night. Okra not available elsewhere and we were glad we were encouraged to have the chocolate dessert! Lovely atmosphere and view. See you in Australia..

Best atmosphere on the island!
Karamel is such a cute little place on the side of Katapola. Run by French Amel, you can really feel a Mediterranean atmosphere where she was mixed in the best from France in her little greek taverna. With an outdoor seating on the beach, Karamel really provided one of the best views on the island and it’s the perfect spot for a drink or dinner. We came back several evenings for her oven baked feta cheese in spicy tomato sauce and her great taste in local wine.

If you are looking for the perfect spot to relax,with the best view in the port,and would like to enjoy excellent quality food and wine, professional service, a special atmosphere, and a feeling of magic, then this is the place to go!Try the pork jarret and the rose wine which is simply divine,,or the carrots in cumin..delicious! This is by far the most beautiful place to unwind,and sample alternative dishes. Thank you Armelle for your wonderful welcome and for the exquisite atmosphere at Karamel!
