An amazing food experience

Chalandri (a north suburb) of Athens, Greece is famous for its restaurants, small taverns and drinking places. However, nothing is compared to Kissos restaurant. The food is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!! and at superb prices. So......next time you visit Athens, do try it out!!! It does worth it!!!

A place like home!

I love this place because it feels like home! The people, the atmosphere but most of all the delicious, purely handmade food! Unique kissos salad, dolmades, yummy steaks and zucchini you can dream about! A place for all and money well spent. Thank you for your amazing hospitality!!

Authentic Greek food

Service was great, the lady was so kind to explain the menu in English. We had her recommendations, vine leave staffing and chicken fillet grill. Both very nice. I loved the staffing, it’s with lemon sauce, very tasty. We were glad to find such a nice restaurant.

Surprisingly Good

This is a family run tavern at the outskirts of Athens that serves excellent Greek food with a friendly service. Pretty much all of the dishes I tried were sumptuous (and we were a large group so I managed to get a taste of quite a number of delicacies). The non plus ultra is the loukoumades dish at the end of the meal; this is a sweet doughnut like dish served with a lot of honey (not ideal if you are dieting but a treat nonetheless). To top it all, the bill was extremely reasonable, if not outright cheap!

Big family gathering

Kissos is a very good taverna which can accommodate several occassions. We visited on a sunday for lunch. There are a lot of options between salads, starters, meat dishes and one fish dish. Cuisine is traditional greek with very good quality ingredients. Food is really nice, service is great and it is decently priced. That place has been tjere for years and will continue to be there because they do it very well. Will definitely visit again
