Limenari is the best place in Nisyros Island, that is full of romantic with great view. The service is excellent

The place has the best Greek Cuisine with traditional Nisyrian flavor. The view of the restaurant is fully loves and the Greek food is fabulous. Some great plates are: Moschari (Beef) with tomato sauce and herbs as well as local fresh Nisyrian Goat. The Tavern is characterized as Organic with greens to be placed from the home gardens, without chemical fertilizers. The Music is traditional Greek one, and the whole atmosphere is Great. The Tavern has WiFi, that means that Business Meetings can be done here, observing the great view. When you come here you will impressed from the Original behavior and the funny character of Mrs. Dimitra and Mr. Yiannis.

Definitely recommended!

Mrs Ourania prepares home-made food and serves generous portions. The view is nice in daytime and it has a cool breeze at nights. Being a Greek I think this place was my number 1 choice for Greek food in Nisyros. Thank you! I visited the restaurant twice with some friends. On one occasion we were 12-14 people that we went there for dinner and we were all very happy with the food and the service! Highlights: The steak was good, skordalia was also very good. I think tyrokafteri was exceptional and I am not a fan of the dish - so you can understand! Other than that, just go by with whatever Ourania recommends and you will not regret it. The second time I went there I tried fish and it was delicious as well! Note that the restaurant is not immediately visible from the main road. There is however a boat on the main road indicating where you have to turn so that you can reach the restaurant through the dirt-road that leads there from the main road.

Very nice family-run tavern

We visited the Limenari twice. The place is not so easy to find, half-way on the road from Mandraki to Paloi, hidden some 50 meters below the road above a stony beach. (Coming from Paloi there’s an information/advertising sign.) Despite of this the tavern is not a secret anymore, since it is known even to tourists from abroad. Although they serve very good local meat too, ask Urania the owner about fish or sea food. She will tell you about the specialties of the day. Urania’s children will bring the dishes. Very tasty the squid. Have a plate of the home made potatoes, so tasteful you wouldn’t find easily in nowadays Greece. Lovely sitting under the trees on the shady terrace with the view over the sea. Very good and helpful service.
