Nice place, nice food and wonderful host…

We were there on the last day of the season, so the chef was not very busy and prepared for us three wonderful dishes: a small chickpea pie with capers and caramelized onion, a phyllo dough roll filled by lamb and a Saganaki with figs jam. Three dishes made and presented in in a very professional way. Even if part of the Greek tradition, the dishes had a creative touch never found in Ios Chora. The final bill was really low, and this is a further positive point to appreciate… Moreover, Panos (the owner) was really communicative and has spent with us long time to talk about Ios. Thank you Panos for the food and your time!

The most friendly restaurant in Greek Islands with great Greek modern cuisine

This Greek restaurant was great. Great food and great experience with some live music in a small square. The most wonderful thing I saw there was the passion showed from the owners for their restaurant and the hospitality. They were very friendly

Great gem in Ios - not to miss!

After year going to Ios, i can say this is one of the most authentic restaurants in the island. Food was outstanding and great location. Always a pleasure to come here, and would recommend this much higher than other more popular restaurants in the islands that have lowered their quality since popularity.

Wonderful food and warm hospitality in a great location

We loved the Greek food with a modern twist, really fresh and of high quality which justifies the prize. Plus, the couple who runs the place is very kind and hospitable, we felt very welcome and also loved their family of cats who are taken good care of. Our favourite place in the Xora for a romantic dinner - highly recommended.

Our stand out restaurant in Ios

I thought this was the pick of all the restaurants we visited on Ios. There are plenty of fantastic eateries but each time they brought a meal out at Pithari they described it with great pride and excitement about what it was - and what was in it. Perfectly cooked snapper fish and a succulent pork knuckle. If you like seafood order the prawns saganaki and the deliciously grilled octopus. Plus they do that great little Greek treat where they bring you a complimentary sweet at the end as a good will gesture. Almost like they’re giving you a tip for being a good customer It’s set beautifully in the Ios amphitheatre with the bouganvillia flowers out. If you eat late (as everyone seems to do) you’ll get the trio in the background playing traditional Greek tunes. Some fruity Greek wine and a couple of Ouzos at the end make for a very sociable and chatty trip back to Mylopotas beach on the 2 Euro shuttle bus.

Greek, green, great!

Nice people, good food, wonderful place. Tables are placed under a bouganville and close to o blue and white church. I'm in Love!

WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND

We ate here during our holiday on Ios. We had eaten here before on previous holidays on the island. The food is tasty and fresh. The owner is very pleasant. It is a lovely location. We would highly recommend.

We Loved This Place

Great family owned restaurant. Terrific, attentive and informed service. Delicious food, plentiful and nicely presented. The owner couldn’t do enough for us. I think two of us had the mixed grill and two had the chicken. We loved every mouthful. We were too full for dessert, but when we were brought some delicious cake we lapped it up. The atmosphere in the little square was buzzy. Altogether a great evening.
