Su e Giu, Naxos Town

We ended up coming here three days in a row as well as taking a pizza to go for our next day of travel. The pizza was wonderful. Ravioli fantastic and the spaghetti carbonara better than we’d had in Italy. The chef and server were very attentive and we highly recommend stopping here for lunch or dinner.

This Italian restaurant is right on the marina in Naxos. As we looked around on the menu for what to order, Kostantina made her presence felt. She asked for our food preferences and made some wonderful suggestions. We’re not big (quantity) eaters and hence we were trying to order one soup and one main course to share between my wife and I. Kostantina suggested that she can get them to do a half portion of the dish and that way we can try and get a taste of atleast 2 dishes. That was extremely thoughtful of her. For the Soup we went with the Mushroom-Veloute. For the slightly chilly weather outside - this was a perfect soup with fresh coarsely puréed mushrooms. The cream, the butter and the mushroom were in perfect harmony, getting us off to a good start for our dinner. The soup was so good, we forgot to take a picture to publish :( For the main course we had : Tetutonica - their best seller - chicken with penne and caramalized onions in a creamy sauce. We asked for it to be spiced up a little bit and they obliged. It was simply Yummmmmmmm! Penne Mediterranee - penne with pesto, sun dried tomatoes and a touch of ricotta. This dish had a burst of flavors between the amazing fresh pesto, sun dried tomatoes and the hint of ricotta cheese in each bite. Nicely done. In the end - I seemed to have a little more of a soft corner for the Tetutonica. The ambience is very nice, comfy and cosy. The owner Sue comes around and checks on the guests. She is full of life and exudes warmth and positive energy which shows up in her food and the people who work there. This was a good end to a long day traveling around the island.

Su e Gui is situated near the port and is an idyllic restaurant to eat at when you travel to Naxos. The staff are so friendly and the food matches their level of hospitality. They also cater for vegans by offering vegan cheese as an alternative. I ate once here and also ordered a takeaway another time. The staff offered me a free small beer while I waited which was a really nice touch. If you’re craving pizza in Naxos, Su e Giu is a must!

Amazing experience. Susanna was the sh*t. She helped us decide on what we wanted, she was personable, and she has great energy. The food was the best that we’ve had in a long time! Incredible! Highly, highly recommend! Near the port — easy to access.

Delicious pizza on waterfront. Try the tartufo pizza! So perfect. Also enjoyed the margarita and people watching on the seafront.

We where a group of 4 that shared a really good and big pizza. The restaurant was really busy, but the service was still good and Susanne the owner seemed like to have verything under kontrol. We also had dessert which was yummy.

Great pizzas here. There’s a big pizza and pasta menu. Service is great. They have a kid’s menu for €6 with a generous sized pizza. The lady serving us is lovely. Highly recommend this place.
