Sweet Memory Apartments, a best choice for families and young couples, is a 4 star+ self-catering apartment complex located in Gouves, a family-oriented resort, east of Heraklion. Literally a few meters from the beach, our apartments are spacious and modern in a serene location yet not far from restaurants, taverns, bars and a vibrant nightlife nearby. The apartments were built in 1990 as a family business with a friendly staff at your service at all hours to ensure a memorable stay for you and your family.

Great place

Another stay this time for 3 weeks, a bit of a different stay this year due to covid the apartment was spotless as usual thanks to Maria who was the only person really about.The key was left in the room ready for our arrival it was a bit odd mama and papa not being around but due to their ages you had to expect this and the apartments were quieter than normal but so was the whole of Gouves but we still enjoyed ours selves and can’t wait for next year

Comfort

Spotless accommodation,a double mattress you don’t want to get up off, brilliant water pressure in the shower, quick boil kettle, fridge large enough to hold several bottles of wine, taps ideal for anyone with arthritis, washing clothes rails, huge firm pillows, crisp cotton sheets, thick towels,shutters on windows so you can still have privacy and fresh air, ideally situated near supermarkets, beach and restaurants/bars. No pool but with a small inlet only a ten minute STROLL up past the church providing sunbeds and a safe area for children to swim you don’t need one. I’m impressed and will revisit.

Highly recommended

Stayed here for 2 weeks. Very basic, but you get what you pay for. Very spacious with a large bedroom and a large kitchen diner that could also sleep 2 as it has 2 single beds built in around it. Just opposite the beach which looks like a pebble beach, when I fact as you walk into the water it’s just soft sand. The owner-manager is very helpful and Maria cleans twice weekly. Could do with a bit of TLC, but a comfortable stay. Would def go back again
