To Katsarolaki, Chania Town

On the main road 10 mins from Nea Chora this place is well worth a visit.A warm welcome by the very personable owner. The staka was amazing followed by the enormous pork chop and the chicken with mustard and peppers.The mains were delicious, moist and tasty,my partner said it was the best pork chop he has had. Enjoyed the conversation in between courses with the patron, very friendly chap. Finished with complementary chocolate cake and ice cream with a watermelon drink. Very reasonable prices considering the quality of food. It is worth seeking this place out we would definitely recommend it. THANKYOU

Beautiful view from the balcony. Fresh fish of the day with fresh Greek salad. Topped off with a great Dry White Wine. Mike our waiter is the reason to keep coming back. He is superb. Thank you see you soon.

This is a great find on the edge of Chania Town on a main road. Mary our host talked us through the special plates which change every day and we can recommend the chicken and feta. Several of the family went for the 500 grams pork chops and the chicken sticks were also popular. For sides we tried the green salad and creatan salads which again come highly recommended. The restaurant caters for young children and if you are passing you must pop in its great food and you will be well looked after. Thanks Mary for a great experience.

To Katsarolaki has only been open for less than a month and if they keep delivering the tastes and great dishes that we experienced then they are going to be very successful indeed. We gave a mix of their dishes a try as we watched the football; soutsoukakia (best I’ve ever had!), pork chop, smoked panchetta (unbelievable), Greek salad, courgette in eggs and beetroot salad...and it was all simply amazing. The casserole dishes are laid out for you to look at in the kitchen and all of the food is superb. Their house wine is pretty decent too, or you can always opt for a choice of bottled beer to help the food go down. At the end of the meal we were given a lovely piece of moist orange cake washed down with a little raki that perfectly complimented and ended a wonderful evening out. Situated right on the Kissamou Road coming out of Chania it can get a little busy but this doesn’t detract from the quality of the food or the great characters that run the place. If you’re a little worried about your lack of Greek language skills, you don’t need to be as they have a menu in English and of course the guys all speak fantastic English too. Bottom line: if you’re in Chania and want a really down to earth, traditional Crete place to eat then seek out To Katsarolaki. Great food, great prices and a great atmosphere.
