Toto Lotto, Malia

I am so glad that my boyfriend and I decided to eat here one evening whilst exploring the old town of Malia. We were welcomed warmly and given our choice of table as it was early evening and quiet. Staff members were wearing masks and/or visors. A disposable table cloth was placed for us as we sat down and cutlery was laid out individually wrapped. Glasses of water were brought out to us whilst we read the menu which was a nice touch... but it only got better!! Once our order had been taken the restaurant owner then brought us a plate of bruschetta and told us that it was on the house. A lovely touch, the bruschetta was tasty, fresh and light. My partner can be quite a fussy eater - he ordered the mix grill and said that it was some of the freshest meat he had tasted. Especially the chicken skewer (which I tasted and agreed, it was lovely). The mixed grill had a selection of grilled meat, sliced fried potato, tzatziki and a very fresh side salad. Excellent portion size. I ordered for myself the meatballs in garlic and tomato sauce. The meatballs were perfectly cooked and the sauce had amazing flavour. The tzatziki was lovely and so fresh. These also were served with sliced potato and side salad. We both had Fresh orange juice to drink which was tasty and refreshing. Two drinks and two mains came to €30 - great value for great quality food, amazing service and a beautiful location. (And a very friendly cat for company!) After our complimentary bruschetta and our generous portioned main meals we were absolutely stuffed. Upon asking for our bill the staff bowled us over with their generosity by bringing us a complimentary dessert to share! This was a type of Cretan cheesecake containing yogurt and strawberry and was delicious. This restaurant is an absolute gem and a must visit if you are staying in Malia and want to experience authentic Greek hospitality. I wish my trip had been longer to have the opportunity to try more of the menu. Highly recommend! :)

Spent last night ( 27 August) at this little jewel of malia. We had walked by the night before and it was busy ( as can be) with families and couple. We had the mixed fish for 2, my daughters meal was incomplete and when she notified them they sorted it promptly and apologised several times. Food was excellent, had a lovely relaxed and un-rushed experience. Highly recommend for families.

Friendly traditional Greek Restaurant. The food is great, nothing is too much trouble here, so relax and go with the flow. If you can’t find what you Luke on the menu just let them know as they always accommodate where possible, the grilled meats here are so good. As questions just ask.

Very sweet family owned restaurant. We visited it 3 times. Each time we got the appetiser, dessert and a shot of alcohol for free. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious! If you are in a hurry let them know as they take their time.

I found this lovely welcoming restaurant 2 years ago. This family run restaurant is very quaint and oozes love. The staff are very attentive and cannot do enough to make you feel welcome. The food is all homemade and is delicious. Greek music is playing throughout your stay. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed. My favourite restaurant in Malia by far.
